Before We Believe
The Search for Witnesses, Revelation, and Truth
What if the most important questions about faith are not the ones we are told to ask-but the ones we are taught to leave alone?
Before We Believe is an investigative journey through Scripture, history, testimony, and human claims about divine revelation.
Across generations, people have claimed to speak on behalf of God. Some were prophets. Some were teachers. Some claimed visions, revelations, authority, or a special calling. But how do we distinguish a genuine message from a claim made by a human being?
This story begins with a simple principle:
Before we believe a claim, we should examine the evidence behind it.
Through the pages of Scripture and the records of history, we will explore the importance of witnesses, testimony, consistency, prophecy, timing, and independent confirmation. We will examine how earlier messengers were identified, how their words were preserved, and what standards Scripture itself gives for testing those who claim divine authority.
The journey will eventually bring us face-to-face with some of history's most influential religious figures and the claims associated with them.
But this is not a story about attacking anyone.
It is about asking questions.
Who witnessed the revelation?
Who confirmed the messenger?
What evidence existed during the lifetime of the claimant?
How were the teachings preserved?
Do later traditions agree with earlier testimony?
And when different claims appear, which standard should be used to test them?
Readers are invited to set aside assumptions-whether religious or skeptical-and follow the evidence step by step.
Because truth should not be afraid of examination.
Before we believe, let us investigate.
