In Grimhaven, the supernatural isn't a secret. It's regulated. There are registries for non-human beings, restricted zones requiring permits, and bars no human should ever walk into. The city looks like glass and neon, but underneath, it smells of wet concrete and blood no one ever admits to in official reports.

Hex doesn't exist in any system. His "birth" began beneath the Project Revenant facility - a program meant to create resilience that ended up creating a weapon.

Hex survived the fire that was supposed to kill him. Since that night, he has been taking back what is his.

When he kidnaps Miracle Harrow, the daughter of the man responsible for the project, he believes it will be simple: break her to break her father.

Except Miracle isn't innocent in the way Hex expected her to be. She isn't a princess locked away in some glass tower. She is a defective prototype, a "sensitive child" no one ever taught that pain isn't supposed to feel normal.
