What Lies Beneath

"D-do what?" He asks worriedly, his hands reaching out for me.
I back away from him. "Be the source of all t-this disaster."
"No, you're not. Isab-"
"I'm not good enough." I say, my voice flat.

For Isabelle White it has always been about what lies beneath. On the outside, her eyes shine with joy and her smile never fades, but on the inside a gruesome war continuously rages. A darkness is fighting to overcome her, rooted in her bones, but she always holds it back. Unfortunately that changes. When she meets the boys of One Direction her defenses weaken. She forgets the necessity to be careful, to stay guarded and she lets herself believe in the possibility of love. When everything comes crashing down will she remain firm and stable? Or will the darkness consume her? Most importantly, what happens if she is lost to the oppressive eclipse? Will anyone care enough to help her? Will she even have the strength to accept guidance? ©
