"Give me one good reason," he growled, "not to leave you bleeding in the street." "My brother," I gasped. "He's dying. I have nothing. I'll do anything-just please help me." His grip loosened. Just enough. His eyes traced down my soaked dress, lingering on the way it clung to my breasts. On the way my nipples peaked against the cold. "Anything?" The word was a purr. A threat. A promise. He dropped me. Then he lifted me-one arm under my knees, the other around my back-and I felt the raw power in his grip. The heat of his body seared through the cold. "What's your name, little moth?" "Yolanda." He smirked. "You just made a deal with a monster, Yolanda." His thumb brushed my lower lip, and I shuddered. "Your brother lives," he said, carrying me toward his car. "But you? You belong to me now." He lowered me into the passenger seat, his body caging me in, the sheer size of him stealing every inch of space. His nostrils flared, inhaling deep. "Your scent."His voice dropped, rough and guttural. "It calls to me." I swallowed hard. "What-what are you?" A slow, wicked smile curled his lips. Your body. Your soul." His thumb dragged across my bottom lip, parting it. "And when I'm done," he growled, "you'll beg me to do it again." ... 🖤~•~🖤

After being rejected by her husband and Alpha in front of half the werewolf world, Allison does the only thing left that makes sense- she walks away. Heartbroken but unbowed, she rebuilds from the ground up, turning her experience as a Luna into something new: Luna's Compass, a consultancy that fixes the messes other packs are too proud to admit they made. No attachments. No politics. No pity. But fate has a sense of humor. Her newest client, Gordon Hale, is a widowed Alpha raising three daughters and holding his pack together by sheer will. What starts as a six-month contract becomes something far more complicated- professionally, politically, and painfully personal. Between grief, politics, and the slow burn of something she swore she'd never feel again, Allison must learn that fate isn't about who you're tied to - It's about who you become when the bond breaks.
