It seemed like Kayla Ryans and Jake Mitchells had it all figured out when they started their senior year of high school. Two talented and squared away people who happened to be crazy about each other. Now four years after they met they cringe at the sound of the other's name and refuse to discuss what happened between them. What happened? Clearly they didn't just drift apart. Now as the summer before their senior year of college starts they will be forced to confront each other and what happened between them. They've both changed drastically in four years, but when you get rid of all the tension and pain of the past can they fix the mess they've made?

This is the sequel to "An Unlikely Duo" so I strongly recommend you read that first. The link is below.

Lauren Jules, her twin sister Miranda, and their best friend Jake all grew up together in their own little world. Just three kids having the time of their lives. And then came the summer that changed everything. It was the summer Lauren fell in love with her best friend. It was the summer her family broke apart and she grew up. It was the summer Jake left. Now five years later, Jake is moving back and Lauren is determined to keep her guard up against the boy who stole her heart years ago. But Lauren's not the only one with something to hide, Jake seems to be fighting some demons of his own. His past has changed him from the happy-go-lucky kid he was, to a reckless guy with a smirk for a smile. And he's driving Lauren insane. ****** Excerpt from That Summer "Well I'm surprised," he drawled huskily, playing with a strand of my hair. "You acted like a natural last night." Oh. My. God. What did that even mean? He chuckled at my deer-in-headlights expression. There was no way I would not remember losing my virginity to Jake. Hell, I'd memorize every second of it. "What do you mean?" I asked slowly, my stomach doing somersaults. Please tell me I'm jumping to the wrong conclusion. Pretty please. "Well," he started, a gleam in his eyes. "First, you grabbed the blanket and ripped it right off of me." I blinked at him, a horrified expression on my face. I slapped his hand away from my hair and turned around. Yup, there it was. Lying on the floor, along with my dignity. He continued solemnly. "And then, you climbed up on top of me." Could you die from your face overheating? I waited for my embarrassment to be complete as he tapped his chin, thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's about it." That's it? THAT'S IT? So I hadn't completely thrown myself at him. Just a tad. And the prize for the unluckiest luckiest horndog of the year goes to Lauren Can't Keep Her Hands To Herself Jules. I grabbed the pillow and smacked him over the head with it. Hard.

The Struggles of Growing Up-Completed

42 parts Complete

*Second book to the Struggles Series. Please read The Struggles of Being a Teenage Wife first* Emma Rembrandt has been through a lot in her past teen years. She didn't know that the death of her father, and years later his best friend's death, would alter her life in the strangest way: an arranged marriage to Zach Taylor in order to save their late fathers' company. Or so she thought... Now, Emma is a graduate and an adult, at least in the legal sense, and ready to continue her new, normal life with Zach. Well, until a certain question surfaces, a certain company becomes priority again, and a 13 year old girl enters the picture. Zach and Emma now seem to be almost reliving the events from years past, along with some new problems and twists. Even after all they've been through, could this be the last straw on their relationship, or will it be the final seal on something infinite?
