Dean is death and his brother, Sam is famine.
Dean is quite good at his job of reaping souls. Sam is also good at his job, however he hates it and wants it to go away. One day when Dean is asked to reap a particular angel, he cant bring himself to do it and lets the angel live.

While Sam is struggling with his ability, he meets an angel named Gabriel who helps him.
