What Could Have Been

What if the person you thought you had forgotten was the one your heart never truly let go of?

A decade passed.

Life moved on.
We found other people.
We built lives that no longer had anything to do with each other.

Or so I thought.

Because some memories don't disappear just because you stop talking about them.

Some feelings don't die. They simply learn how to hide.

And sometimes, the hardest thing isn't losing someone-

it's never knowing why they left.

What could have been?

Maybe we'll never know.

Because we were too afraid to ask, too afraid to reach out, and too afraid to find out that the answer might hurt more than the silence.
