The Princeling

Welcome to Vira! An awfully gloomy and rainy city that is big enough to not be considered suburbia but small enough to have that bubble of 'nothing exists outside' vibe. It's a strange place where there aren't many animals, it's colder than it should be, and people are sometimes found dead in the river.

It is here where a society of characters you know from various stories have found refuge. They are now, like you or me, regular people who try to make ends meet. The only way for them to regain their previous looks and abilities is to drink Anima.

Blue liquid that cannot be reproduced or replicated and is the only thing left after their homeworld.

In this community of ex-fables 'lives' Christian, formerly Prince Charming and husband of Snow White. Now, he is a washed-up, divorced detective on the brink of homelessness. Purposeless, alone, and thoroughly bitter.

Everything will change when one of them gets kidnapped. Will this be a chance for Christian to jump back to his feet? To get back at the whole community that cast him out?
Or perhaps he will learn something far more important?

This is a draft of my original story, translated into English, and it is primarily here for me to hear feedback. I wish to know what works and what does not. However, I am looking for only constructive criticims!

In a nutshell, it is a crime story in an urban fantasy setting with a romance subplot. The story is mature (more on that in the 'Before You Read' chapter)

Once I have sufficient feedback, I will take the story down.
