In a world where memories can be bought, sold and owned, sixteen-year-old Brooke Morgan has always accepted the system as part of life.

Until her older sister Blair is relocated by the government.

Years later, Brooke receives a distress signal from Blair in the form of an illegally extracted memory, forcing her into the underground memory trade and towards secrets the government has spent years burying. As Brooke follows the trail, she begins to question everything she thought she knew about memories, ownership and the people controlling both.
