"If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance." -Bernard Williams

Daniella Baxton has always had a not so easy life, but whose is? Her brother Elliot was always over-protective of her. He was captain of the football team and everyone loved him. Danny was never seen by anyone unless she was with the football team. Her and Elliot were twins, making the football team like her even more. Oliver Gallagher is Elliot's best friend but also Danny's as well. Danny and Oliver share a close relationship, making everyone think they are together. Students give Danny hard time just because she helps out the football team and can basically get anyone of them as her boyfriend, under her brothers permission of course. Sometimes this leads into more of a problem since her last boyfriend was not so kind.

Lila Daniels has spent all of her life living under the protective wings of her three older brothers, Charlie, Lucas and Tucker or in the gymnastics gym training. None of which resulted in much of a social life. All of that changes though the summer before Lila's junior year of high school when her dad gets a new job in a different state. Being forced to transplant her life to the small town of Romeo without her brothers or gymnastics means Lila is on her own for the first time in her life. How is she supposed to start over from scratch and make new friends now?! The thought of having to meet all new people for someone who likes to fly under the radar is hard enough, but to do it at age sixteen? That feels impossible. As fate would have it, Lila meets Payton Johnson on her first day at RHS who introduces her to Rachel, Kelly and Claire. The five become fast friends. The girls make it their mission to break Lila from her shyness and make Romeo feel like home. Oh, and they also recruit her to join their cheer team which isn't something Lila ever thought she'd feel confident enough to do. Then there's Tyler Johnson. He's the senior football captain, star quarterback and most popular guy in school who happens to also be Payton's older brother. Lila doesn't want to catch feelings for her new besties brother, but quickly realizes you can't really control who you crush on. It's not like Tyler would ever go for her anyways, when he's got so many other girls begging for his attention....or would he? Lila and Sam. Sam and Lila. Ever since the Alvarez twins were born, that's how it always was. It was always Lila and Sam. Always Sam and Lila. Lila wants to enjoy her senior year, she wants no pressure. Sure, she might regret quitting the soccer team, but she wants no more responsibilities. Those plans are quickly ruined when the kicker of their school's football team is out with an injury. They need someone to replace him, and they turn to the retired soccer star. And much to Sam's dismay, football captain Ashton Westbrook is tasked with getting her ready for the season. But it's fine, it's just for this year. And as for Sam? Well, he catches the eye of nearly every person in their year. But unfortunately for Lila, the only person he really wants is their mutual best friend, Charlie Graham. But she's deemed him strictly off limits to preserve the trio's friendship. She'll just have to deal though, considering he's the only one who Sam hasn't been able to push away yet. And when Sam joins the school play to be closer with Charlie, he has no choice but to see him everyday. His sister will be fine- if she ever finds out, that is. And she's too caught up in her own lies to even notice. Besides, it's just for this year. As the twins life gets more and more separate and convoluted, they might find their likelihood for self-sabotage increase with each day of their senior year. But at least it's just for this year... right? TW: Heavy mental health issues Book Two of the "Just For" Series. Can be read as a stand-alone. Approximately 110k words
