𝑰𝑵 𝑾𝑯𝑰𝑪𝑯 Rosanna Gibson and Patrick Feely have been best friends for as long they can remember.

Both feeling like they were floating on their outside of their friendgroup, they made a pact to always be there for eachother when they felt lonely and sad.

Patrick would be Rosanna's, and Rosanna would be Patrick's.

That's how it always worked, despite everything.

With every passing year, they got closer despite every warning sign going off around them.

But while Rosanna fights the monster waiting for her in her nightmares, Patrick fights the demons that circle inside his head.

Not willing to share the true cause for her pain, Rosanna found comfort in the haziness of partying and disassociation.

Whereas Patrick, who had felt broken in the head since childhood, started drinking alcohol when he was only twelve.

Patrick gained the urge and desire to envelope himself in the warmth of a strangers bed every chance he got, and growing older and facing true horror, so did Rosanna.

After the fall out of new years, 2004, they both began to crave comfort wherever they could get it, despite 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦 having that kind of comfort with each other. Because for the both of them the person they loved the most is the very person you're most afraid to lose, so why risk the loss at all?

It was safer, after everything, to keep 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 out of.. whatever they were doing.
