His life was anything but normal and that's all she was. She was normal and it was beautiful. At least he thought so.

She came back to care for her sick and dying father. Taking a job at the local elementary school as a teacher. The pay minimum and barely enough to pay for her father's climbing medical bills. Maybe normal isn't what she needs and when her older brother strolls into town high as kite with a debt so big that a price now hangs on his head. She's screwed and having to fix things once again. She left for a normal, functional life and ended up back home with anything but that.

When a big fundraiser is set up to bring money in for the failing music department at her school she jumps at the opportunity to run the ring toss booth something to get her mind off things and meet new folks and get to know her students and their families. What happens when a leather clad devil with the eyes of an angel walks up to play at her booth?
