Dear miss Ayra

Sometimes, the person who changes your life is the person you were never supposed to meet.

Kiama Praise Wealth has spent years building a life far away from the expectations of her wealthy Nigerian family.

In New York, she has her boutique, her independence and the freedom to make her own decisions.

Or at least, that's what she believes.

Her family has other plans.

They want Kiama to return home, accept the marriage they've arranged for her, and become the daughter they've always expected her to be.

Kiama refuses.

Then she meets Ayra Starr.

To Kiama, Ayra is simply the woman behind a familiar face she can't quite place-a famous Nigerian singer who happens to cross into her life at an unexpected time.

To everyone else, Ayra belongs to the spotlight.

But away from the cameras, she is simply a young woman trying to find moments where she can be herself.

Their first meetings mean almost nothing.

Then they begin seeing each other again.

And again.

Until casual conversations become something Kiama starts looking forward to.

Until Ayra's absence becomes noticeable.

Until Kiama realizes that the person she keeps pushing away is the person she secretly wants closer.

But loving Ayra comes with consequences Kiama isn't prepared for.

Her family has already decided what her future should look like.

And when they discover who has begun occupying a place in Kiama's heart, the quiet life she built in New York begins to crack.

Because sometimes, the hardest thing isn't falling in love.

It's deciding whether you're brave enough to fight for it.

He represents the future Kiama's family has chosen for her.

He doesn't have to be a villain-which makes the conflict even more complicated.

Ayra represents something Kiama never planned for-love.
