I look towards the end of the street. And start walking in the street. It was dark and late so I knew no cars will be out. As I started to walk down the street a hint of a grin came upon my face. This was a start of a new beginning.

I watched, tears clouding my vision, as he walked up the road. He didn't look back. I knew this was as hard for him as it was for me. Although he had said he'd be back, I knew he wouldn't.
