a book based off the zombie apocalypse on how my friends and i survived, my story does lack detail on a lot of different things, but it's just my rough draft for the time being. there is a giant chunk missing, and i do have the end written up, just looking for insight on it, things i could change and make better.

Once Bitten
The dead do not sleep. The dead do not eat. The dead most certainly do not laugh. And the dead do not cry. 6 years have passed since nuclear war broke out, destroying the planet and killing most of the world's population. Different geographical regions have been affected differently, the climate mutating and transforming people into horrific monsters of all kinds. Now humanity must fight to survive amongst literal zombies, vampires, and horrific fungal spores capable of reducing even the strongest to nothing. Emily lives with a small, ragtag group of survivors, her friends before the outbreak occurred. When one of them falls ill, in dire need of medicine, the group is forced to travel to the hospital across town, where they discover something, or rather someone unexpected. Mark was a normal person before the outbreak, before he was bitten by his own father, before everything went to hell in a handbasket. Now he lives under the hospital with his trusty cat Buckwheat, hiding from the daylight and wondering why him, out of all the infected, has to "live" with the curse of sanity after his demise. Celebrate the Rejects
A happily ever after never lasts forever. You need to keep fighting to keep evil at bay. yeah, I'm not very good at giving plot descriptions without spoiling everything, but that's kind of the gist of things. before you read this, I suggest you read Deadweight by my good friend @not-the-best-06 first as it has a lot of context for this story. TW for gore, swearing, and some topics in terms of psychology like depression and PTSD, and probably some other things that I'm too lazy to name or I'll be adding later on who knows.
The Chapel in the Burnt Woods & Other Stories
This includes a collection of 16 stories that were written in the span of two years. They are early stories, mostly drafts and not the complete collection. This is mostly still in the progress, but it explores various themes and ideas, such as loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, etc. There are even a few humorous stories in here.
