An High School Story

Sixteen-year-old Ethan Carter never wanted to leave Tennessee.

But after moving to the small town of Blackwood, Texas, he has no choice but to start over at Blackwood High School.

A new school. New friends. New faces. And, eventually, a girl who makes the unfamiliar place feel a little less lonely.

For a while, Ethan's biggest problems are nothing more than fitting in, dealing with teachers, and trying to survive his first weeks at a new school.

Until one stupid mistake lands him in detention.

As punishment, Ethan is sent to clean an old storage room hidden inside one of the school's forgotten wings.

That's where he finds it.

An old notebook.

At first, it seems like nothing more than the forgotten journal of a former student.

But the more Ethan reads, the more he realizes that the notebook contains pieces of a story that was never meant to be found.

A story involving disappearances, secrets, and seven teenagers who vanished years ago.

With Maya and a growing group of friends by his side, Ethan begins looking for answers.

But Blackwood has a past.

And some people would do anything to keep it buried.

The deeper they dig, the harder it becomes to tell who they can trust.
