A Man in Her Place

Yuri de la Cruz was supposed to take her final exam, graduate, and finally start the life she had worked so hard for.

Instead, she dies saving a stray cat and wakes up inside the body of Elior Vance, a wealthy CEO and the doomed male lead of a novel she never even finished.

Now the world calls her sir, son, and fiancé, while the woman staring back from inside Elior's life is still unmistakably Yuri.

Worse, Yuri already knows how this story is supposed to end.

Elior betrays his beautiful fiancée, Virelya Arden. Virelya is painted as the villain. Their families collapse, their love is destroyed, and both of them are swallowed by a tragedy surrounding an artificial-intelligence project known as VAI.

But something is wrong with the story Yuri remembers.

Virelya is not the cruel woman the novel described. Elior may never have truly betrayed her. Strange memories are buried inside his body, someone has been tampering with VAI, and a message left behind by Elior contains one impossible name:

Yuri.

Caught between a man's body, a woman's identity, a fiancée who is beginning to see the person beneath Elior's face, and a conspiracy capable of rewriting consciousness itself, Yuri has one choice:

Follow the story that already destroyed them

or rewrite it.
