Sloane Bennett - witty, smart, brave, and more powerful than she knows.

But she's young and alone in a bustling city, sticking to the shadows, staying concealed from the public to keep herself safe.

It's been just her for as long as she could remember, but then again, that didn't mean much. She could barely remember anything other than being adopted out of a hospital-turned-orphanage, and after that took a turn for the worst, she vowed to never let anyone treat her that way again.

She was on her own.

And that's the way it would have to be.

Then she meets the Avengers.

And as everything changes about who she thought she knew herself to be, as she learns more about her childhood, the more the pieces start to fall into place.

Sloane suddenly has to make the decision on whether or not she's ready to face the new version of herself that had been covered for so long, and although she's strong, she starts to question how much longer she can hold on.
