What The Gods Forgot

Some legends were erased. Others were never meant to be remembered.

The Avengers have faced gods, aliens, armies, and things that were never supposed to exist.

Then something falls from the sky.

Not a ship.
Not a weapon.
A man.

Zhen wakes in the center of a crater with no memory of how he arrived or why a body that should have been destroyed by the impact doesn't carry a single wound.

He doesn't know why strange markings cover his skin. He doesn't know why fire answers him like an extension of his own body. And he doesn't know why something about Earth feels simultaneously foreign and familiar.

All he knows is his name.

Zhen.

But as fragments of a history that should not exist begin surfacing across Earth and beyond it, the question surrounding him changes.

It is no longer what is he?

It's why was every trace of him erased?

Because Zhen may have only just arrived on Earth...

but whatever lives inside him is older than the gods themselves.

And somewhere, something is beginning to remember.

WHAT THE GODS FORGOT

An Avengers AU.

He didn't fall by accident.

He was sent to remind them.
