The Long Road to Healing

John Carter worked at County for years, and over those years he became numb. He loves the people he works with. He even fell in love with a doctor he trained named Lucy Knight. He needed to get out, so he wrote everyone he loves a letter, and then he leaves. He goes to a lot of places and winds up a clinic in Louisiana and meets Luka. In the story Luka never made it to Chicago.

Lucy leaves after she graduates medical school and becomes a resident. She spends her time at different clinics getting her residency over. But at the first one she goes too, she sees the guy she fell in love with John Carter. Then John, Lucy and Luka open their own clinic after traveling and seeing all the bad stuff, they want to help more.

Then John, Lucy and Luka go around the world, and they wind up in Arizona years later, and John Carter sees Susan Lewis for the first time in years. She then joins them and becomes the 4th owner to the clinic.

Then years later, they are in Chicago to open up their new clinic. John, Lucy and Susan see people they haven't seen in years, and Luka meets new people.

John, Lucy, Luka and Susan all are different.
