Wind blowing coldly, rain falling sharply-it hurts.

But what's more painful than the rain is losing someone you never really stopped loving.

"Please, just leave me alone!"

"I don't care!! Just leave me alone, please!"

"Just give me a chance, Kai."

"I'm happy with my life. Please, don't bother me again."

And that hit me.

He doesn't need me anymore.

Bakit nga ba ako patuloy na namimilit sa taong ayaw na sa'kin? Ilang pagkakataon na ang ginawa ko para lang maalala niya ako, para lang maramdaman kong may puwang pa rin ako sa buhay niya.

Pero wala.

I stood there in the rain, watching him walk away-the same person I once thought I'd grow old with.

And maybe somewhere along the way, I became nothing but a chapter he already finished reading.

Two years could pass.

A lifetime could pass.

And still, some part of me would wonder-What if I had stayed? What if you had stayed? What if, in another life, we actually made it?

I watched his figure disappear into the rain. "I'm glad you're happy, Kairus." I smiled, even though my heart couldn't.

Because sometimes, your TOTGA isn't the person you stopped loving. It's the person you'll always love-but never get to have again.
