If you have Ao3 and read Brighter Days by mrehk, this is how I imagine it going from the other perspective. it's such a great story. Please go check it out!!

It is labeled Mature but there is no smut in this story. Just a lot of mature topics. Each chapter will have a trigger warning that applies but this is my warning as a whole. There is explicit mentions of death.

A cloud passes over them and blocks the sun. Jisung frowns and slowly opens his eyes. He turns to Minho and sees that he's fast asleep. Soft snores escape him like the purrs of the cat in Jisung's lap. He watches the way his chest rises and falls rhythmically. Jisung can't help but envy the safe and
thriving life that is in this man. It is then that he thinks it unfair that they were paired together. Here is someone about his age who has all the time in the world-living in a way he can't. It's almost cruel.

But that isn't something he can hold against him, its not like Minho decided to pair with him. That's just his rotten luck at play again.

Minho sighs in his sleep, his eyebrows furrowing deeply. He must be having a bad dream. He doesn't want to wake him but he also doesn't want the man having unpleasant dreams. He reaches his hand over his chair and touches his arm. He doesn't have much strength to tap at him so the light touch of his bony fingers does nothing to stir him. He tries again on his shoulder but that only makes the other man shift slightly. Jisung tries again, laying his hand on the smooth skin of his cheek. A soft whimper leaves his lips but his eyes flutter open.

When Minho sees Jisung leaning over to him his breath catches. After assuring that he's ok, Jisung moves his hand and starts to write in his notepad.

You were having a bad dream.

He shows the other his notepad. Minho clears his throat and sits up in the bench.

"Sorry for falling asleep. Are you ok?"

Jisung nods.

"Ok", Minho nods too. "That's good. Good."
