Paris Williams is a teenager living in the ghetto, trying to make ends meet. Her mother, London Williams finds herself working overtime to get her daughter into college but the minimum wage job she works and her aspirations as a mother don't equate. Paris plots to get into a position to help her mother out of her financial situation but London wants her only child to focus on getting out of the ghetto. That becomes an even more difficult task with the reoccurrence of Paris's estranged father, Shamar Brown also known as Slime in the streets.
