Lystra is an innocent nine year old girl who is always up for adventure and drama. But when she experiences a horrible kidnapping, she learns that life isn't always about pretty butterflies and rainbows. She hates her new life but if she decides not to follow the rules, she gets brutally beaten and tortured. She had always tried to be a good, well mannered girl but she soon realises that not everyone in the cruel world is like her, and never will be.
