The Black Out

"The world isn't safe now. This isn't a dream. It's simply a nightmare." That was the famous quote by the leader of the people who are normal, like me. Well, like what i used to be. Why isn't it safe? Because there are things out there that make nightmares look almost delightful. I'm not even kidding. Nightmare doesn't even begin to describe this place anymore. The teenagers that are left have a choice, they either join the N.D.L. or you can fend for yourself. N.D.L. stands for Nightmare Defense League. Twenty-five percent of men and women who join the N.D.L. never make it out alive. Oh, I should have introduced myself. I'm Austin Wolf. My best-friend is Skylar Roosevelt. She went missing on the 10 year reunion of The Black Out. What happened to me is what separates humans from me. It isn't normal. That's why they stay on the other side of the wall. They look human but if they smell fresh blood, that's when they change. They change into a monster... I change into a monster.
