Black Ice

Tucked away from the rest of the world, nestled in the mountains, resides a domain in the snow. Ruled by the Gifted: felines granted fantastic power by their gods, life seems simple in its own little way.

Then, one day, a cat by the name of Moondown is plagued by visions of a horrible future. The visions are so severe, his brother Fennel fears that if nothing is done, he'll go insane...

But what does the future hold? Is there a way to prevent it, or is it always going to happen?

(Written for a friend's story, an au of a story, if you will, featuring my original characters for that world...)
