Off The Record

A player with the world at his feet. A journalist who refuses to kneel.

Charlotte Knox hates clichés, unexpected turns, and, above all, athletes. As the sharpest reporter for the college newspaper, she views basketball as pure mathematics and players as spoiled boys with easy smiles. Her senior year plan is simple: keep her head down, get her degree, and stay far away from trouble.

Until she gets assigned to Mason Walker's autumn profile.

Mason is the captain of the Hawks, the God of the court, and the owner of the campus. He's used to winning, getting what he wants, and disarming anyone with his charm. He thought the interview would be just another easy twenty minutes to inflate his ego.

He just didn't expect to meet a girl immune to his effect.

Charlotte doesn't yield. Mason doesn't accept defeat. What was supposed to be a simple professional profile turns into a dangerous game of banter, intense looks, and a chemistry that threatens to set the backstage of Summit State ablaze.

Between trick questions and unspoken answers, the main rule is clear: what happens off the record cannot become a headline. But how do you stay objective when your biggest miscalculation is six-foot-five and wears the number 12 jersey?
