Aubrey Jenkins was just a normal teenage girl. She was involved in her high school band, her love life was finally picking up, and she had a great group of friends. Other than her social awkwardness and her "plain" looks, her life was going great. She just wished she could get a guy to notice her.

Mason Cross was just a normal teenage guy. He was also involved in band, had a huge crush on his best friend, Aubrey; and was thriving on his swimming team. He had just been elected captain of the swim team as a Junior and his social life was outstanding. He was flying on cloud nine.

They felt as if there was nothing that could stop them.

Cue Garrison Banks. He was a.. Not so normal teenage guy. He was Mason's best friend, also had a huge crush on Aubrey, and he would take that to the next level. Aubrey was meant to be his. No one could get in the way of that.

Sometimes, you should be careful what you wish for. You never know when you might jinx yourself.
