Far from the survivors' base...

In a desolate region that no one has explored since the Nox attacks began, Oren is holding out all alone.

He is hiding within the ruins of an ancient observatory.

Spread out before him are various records, ancient symbols, and crystal fragments he has managed to gather over the past few days.

"I have to find a way to stop Nox..."

he murmurs.

"I can't keep running from it."

Oren keeps searching until he finally discovers an ancient carving, nearly buried under layers of dust.

It tells the tale of a legendary crystal.

The Crystal of Pure Light Energy.

Oren reads the text intently.

"This crystal..."

"...possesses light energy far purer than ordinary light energy."
