Anatomy of a fighter: Frank x Reader

Y/N is an average single woman living in New York City, working long hours as a doctor at a local hospital where she spends most of her days. Frank looks like your average guy, and nothing about him ever seemed off except for his total rudeness. His explosive temper makes him completely unlikable, so most of the people in his apartment building actively avoid him.

Deep down, Frank holds a dangerous secret: he's an underground fighter in an illegal ring. He doesn't just do it for the money, either he does it because he genuinely loves beating up men that he knows aren't worth the time of day.

Frank has always found Y/N slightly insufferable. She's his next-door neighbor, a beautiful, sophisticated, and well educated woman who always seems to have some kind of complaint to bring to his door, annoying him to no end. Meanwhile, Y/N absolutely can't stand Frank or his obnoxious attitude.

One night, Y/N decides it's finally time to let loose and head out to a new club with her best friend. Everything is going great until they take a wrong turn and end up stumbling right into a secret underground fight club. Y/N's jaw drops as she looks toward the ring and one specific fighter catches her eye, Frank, the exact rude neighbor she detests.

Now that she's discovered her neighbor's darkest secret, neither of them is prepared for what would come next.
