The Boy At Table Seven

Kaizen has been coming to the same café for months, always ordering the same drink and sitting quietly by the window with a notebook in hand. Dillon, one of the café's employees, has grown used to seeing him there, even though the two rarely speak beyond a simple greeting or taking his order.

One evening, Kaizen accidentally leaves a letter behind.

Dillon knows he shouldn't read it, but curiosity gets the better of him. What he finds inside is a collection of thoughts about loneliness, love, and the strange comfort of finding someone who makes ordinary days feel a little warmer.

After that night, things between them slowly begin to change. Small conversations turn into long ones, familiar glances become lingering looks, and the café becomes a place where they can be together without having to explain how they feel.

Eventually, Dillon and Kaizen admit that what they've found in each other is more than friendship, and they begin a quiet, gentle relationship filled with late-night conversations, shared coffees, and moments neither of them wants to end.

But just when they've finally found something worth holding onto, Kaizen receives news that his family is moving far away.
