Park Jeongseong has everything people could possibly want.

At twenty four, he is the youngest son of one of the country's most powerful families, the son of a respected businessman, and a familiar face among the elite. To everyone, his life appears almost perfect.

Then there is Yang Jungwon.

Twenty two, a pediatrician, and also the youngest son of another influential family, Jungwon has grown up surrounded by warmth, privilege, and people who love him. When a marriage between the two families is arranged for business, he expects little more than an unfamiliar husband and an awkward beginning.

He does not expect Park Jeongseong.

Jay is quiet. Too quiet.

He rarely speaks, keeps his gaze lowered, and seems strangely distant even when Jungwon is standing right beside him. He avoids conversations, avoids closeness, and appears uncomfortable with even the smallest gestures of affection.

At first, Jungwon assumes his new husband simply does not want him. But then he begins noticing things.

The silence.

The way Jay sometimes looks at him as though he wants to say something, only to look away before a single word leaves his lips. There is something about Park Jeongseong that Jungwon cannot understand.

And the closer Jungwon gets to his husband, the more he begins to wonder whether Jay is really the man everyone believes him to be. Their marriage was supposed to be nothing more than an agreement between two powerful families.

But some things are not as simple as they appear.

And sometimes, the quietest person in the room is carrying the most that no one else can see.
