In a post-apocalyptic world, a weakened tribe of people called the Echelon are attacked by the Believers, a rival tribe much larger and stronger than the Echelon.  Brothers Shannon and Jared lead the men into a battle of destinies, hoping to put an end to the century long feud. Wounded in battle, Shannon is put in a healing coma leaving his pregnant wife and son to cling to every last shred of hope that Shannon will fulfill his promise that he would return.

This is a short story that I started writing about a year ago for my school's literary festival. None of the pictures are mine but I will take credit for the half-decent photo-shop. Characters in this story are based off of the three members of 30 Seconds to Mars (Jared, Shannon and Tomo), one of the tribes off of the Mars fanbase (the Echelon) however the characters of James and Montserrat are completely original.
