Blythe Milton has had a very unstable childhood. With her dad leaving, being homeless for a while, and falling into sickness, Blythe should be completely depressed and overwhelmed. Though, she perseveres and slowly builds up a life close to normal.
When her mother remarries to a wealthy lawyer, she gets the opportunity to go to a prep school in New York City, Trinity School. There she meets Ian Van Halen, a boy with a very negative outlook on life.
Blythe proceeds to change his life. But will he be able to change hers?
