Three Friends of Winter - Vol 1, Prequel: Three branches, One winter.

Fujiwara Meiko, Akashi, and Kamisato Ayato came from three very different worlds.

Meiko is a reckless countryside girl who arrives at the Kamisato Estate after an unexpected encounter changes her life. She is curious, outspoken, impulsive, and far too willing to say what everyone else is thinking.

Akashi is a young servant who has been raised to believe that being useful is the safest way to earn his place. Unlike Meiko, he rarely causes trouble. He works diligently, obeys his parents, and behaves far older than his age.

And then there is Ayato, the young heir who possesses everything that should make a child fortunate: a prestigious family, an education, security, and a future already prepared for him.

At first,
Meiko thinks Akashi is far too serious.
Akashi thinks Meiko is far too reckless.
Ayato thinks Meiko is simply troublesome.

But it also became the reason they need one another.
