BETWEEN THE MARGINS || NAMJIN one-shot

The first letter wasn't supposed to be answered.

It was barely a letter at all.

Three lines, a terrible joke, and a question written on the back of a library receipt.

Namjoon answered anyway.

The next morning, there was a reply.

He didn't know who had written it.

He didn't know why they kept coming back.

And, more importantly, he didn't know that somewhere on the same campus, another student was beginning to look forward to finding his handwriting.

What follows isn't a love story.

Not at first.

It's two ordinary lives running alongside each other without knowing where the other one begins-through examinations, friendships, bad coffee, missed buses, birthdays, graduation, first jobs, new cities, and years neither of them planned the way they happened.

The letters remain.

Even when the people disappear.

Especially then.

And sometimes, the strangest part of growing up isn't discovering who you became.

It's discovering **who was quietly there all along.**
