My own Value

Kenshiro "Ken" Kan is a student of Class 1-B and he's the son of Pro Hero Vlad King. His parents separated when he was still very young after a serious argument between them. His middle school years were probably the most difficult period of his childhood. Ken's Quirk was incredibly versatile, but that didn't necessarily make his classmates admire him. Before high school, he was much more interested in other people. He genuinely wanted to understand his classmates, make friends, and learn more about them. Unfortunately, the more he tried to get closer to people, the more they seemed to withdraw from him. Eventually, Ken learned to stop reaching out. Rather than continuing to chase after people who didn't want him around, he began focusing on himself and his own goals. If he wanted to become a hero, he decided, then he needed to become strong enough that nobody could dismiss him because of his Quirk.

Before entering high school, Ken began training with his father every single day. Vlad pushed him hard, but Ken pushed himself even harder. He didn't want anyone to believe that he had earned his place at U.A. simply because he was Vlad King's son.

He wanted to prove that he deserved it.
