The Shield & The Sky ❆ Jon Snow

𓆩 The Last Song of Valyria 𓆪

"Here the dragon bound the seven crowns, the Doom devoured the sky. Yet the ashes of Old Valyria hold secrets older than the Iron Throne, and a fire that refuses to die..."

Chronicles speak only of House Targaryen, naming them the sole remnants of a fallen empire. They spoke in ignorance.

For deep within the calcified veins of the smoking ruin, another endured. Consigned to a deathless slumber beside her beasts of flame, a maiden of the Old Empire slept - awaiting the Prince Who Was Promised, and the hour when the Song of Ice and Fire should awaken.

Now, as the Great War gathers in the frozen North, her red eyes opened.

With a roar that shook the foundations of the earth, she ascended into a world four centuries beyond her own. Her kin are dust, her mother tongue is forgotten, and mortal kings play a treacherous game for a seat of rusted iron. Driven by an ancient, unbroken instinct, she cleaved the sky to face the oncoming storm.

Yet the sins of old cast long shadows upon the present. And in the game of thrones, you win, or you die.
