Blood,Smoke and Promises

Jasmin Shelby is a Shelby through and through.
John Shelby's twin sister and perhaps the sibling most like Tommy, Jasmin is intelligent, calculating, fiercely loyal and almost impossible to intimidate. She has always looked up to Tommy, and as the Shelby family's power begins to grow, she becomes one of the few people he truly trusts to stand beside him.
But Jasmin is carrying wounds even her family cannot fix.
After surviving the Great War, her husband returned home haunted by everything he had witnessed. Unable to escape his nightmares, he took his own life, leaving Jasmin widowed and raising their one-year-old son, Theo Shelby, alone.
Jasmin swears Theo is all she needs.
Then there's James Smith.
John's best friend. A man who has been around the Shelby family for years. A man who knew Jasmin before she became a wife, stayed beside her when she became a widow, and loves Theo as though the little boy were his own.
Jasmin has already loved and lost once.
She refuses to do it again.
But as Tommy's ambitions drag the Shelby family deeper into a world of guns, bookmakers, police, enemies and bloodshed, James becomes harder for Jasmin to keep at a distance.
Following the events of Peaky Blinders from Season One onwards, Jasmin will stand beside Tommy as the Shelby name rises from the streets of Small Heath - protecting her son, fighting for her family and discovering that falling in love again might be more terrifying than any enemy she's ever faced.
She's a mother. A widow. A Shelby.
And nobody threatens a Shelby and walks away.
