How I became Spider-man

Ronaldo José Durán Sempertegui is sixteen years old and lives in Geneva, Switzerland. Born in Ecuador and raised between Spain and Switzerland, life has taught him from an early age how to adapt, keep moving forward, and above all, protect the people he loves.

Creative, charismatic, stubborn, and deeply empathetic, Ronaldo doesn't see himself as a hero. He's simply trying to be a good son, a good brother, and someone others can rely on.

In his world, superheroes exist, although much of what surrounds them remains hidden behind rumors, secrets, and incidents that are difficult to explain.

But Spider-Man doesn't exist.

Spider-Man is nothing more than a fictional comic-book character.

Until Ronaldo is bitten by a mysterious spider.

Suddenly, the abilities he once knew only from comics begin manifesting in his own body: extraordinary strength, impossible reflexes, and powers no human being should possess.

For any other teenager, gaining superpowers might be a dream.

For Ronaldo, it quickly becomes a question:

If he now has the power to save someone... how can he choose not to?

As he struggles to understand his new abilities and keep his transformation a secret, Ronaldo must balance family, friendships, responsibilities, and a life that continues even after he takes off the mask.

But his appearance also begins to awaken things that have remained hidden for far too long.

Allies.

Enemies.

Secrets.

And a world far greater than anything he ever imagined.

Because becoming Spider-Man won't simply mean learning how to use his powers.

Ronaldo will have to discover his limits, accept that he won't always be able to protect everyone, and decide what kind of man he wants to become when having the power to intervene turns every choice into a responsibility.

This isn't the story of how a spider turned Ronaldo into a hero.

It's the story of how a boy who was already trying to protect others became Spider-Man.
