SHOWGIRL || THOMAS SHELBY

Daisy Fletcher has never had the luxury of falling apart. At twenty-three, she holds her family together with both hands - feeds them, fights for them, loves them fiercely - and every night she puts on a dress and becomes someone else entirely on the stage, because the money is good and the bills don't care about dignity.

She doesn't expect Thomas Shelby to walk through the door.

She doesn't expect him to come back.

And she doesn't expect that the quietest, most dangerous man in Birmingham will turn out to be the only person who ever looked at her and saw both women at once.

But Thomas Shelby belongs to a world that takes what it wants and leaves wreckage behind it. Her father knew that. Walter knew that.

She should have listened.
