Maddie is at the end of her Ranger training with Will Treaty as her mentor.
The Herons are dutifully protecting the Araluen coast.
Araluen diplomacy itself had reached its height, signing pacts with many countries they hadn't even heard of before.

This just couldn't get any better, can it?

But then, they hear news about a massive, well-coordinated Scotti invasion of Araluen.
They also hear about remnants of the Red Fox Clan. Those fanatics still don't want to see a woman ruling the Kingdom.

Can Will and Maddie with the Herons succeed in holding back the Scotti once more?
Or will Araluen finally come tumbling down before the might of the Scotti?
