Nine Broken Hearts

Constantly overshadowed by his older brother, Fleurhiver's war hero Nolan d'Orquidée, Ealan has always felt like an outcast in his own home. After Nolan's last failed attempt at fixing things, Ealan is sent to fight in war for the nation by their Master.

However, not everything goes as planned.

When Ealan finds himself stranded in the middle of enemy land, his only option to survive might be to cling to a strange barbarian boy, one who claims to need him to recuperate his captured brother. During their time together, Ealan becomes attached to a world, and to a person, he never thought was on his cards.

Meanwhile, Nolan sees himself haunted by his past decisions at the war's frontier. Incapable of undoing the problems he continuously creates, a man he just met, and who has sworn to hate him forever, is the constant reminder of what he wants but cannot have.

Even from far away, their newfound paths continue to affect each other, as they might need to uncover the truth about their nation's history, their new special ones', or even themselves to survive.

Perhaps hating each other forever would have been easier than that...
