Samantha Clarke (or Sam, as she prefers) is a park ranger, tied to her job at a visitor center after suffering an injury as a cop. Her entire life has been plagued by unexplained disappearances: first her older brother, and ten years later, a nine year old girl. The police always close the files, forcing the public to move on. But her? She refuses to stop looking, even if it could kill her.
