The World of Criminal Minds has always been filled with monsters. But now the monsters are more literal. The Good news is that the world is the BAU. They themselves are supernatural beings. Set on hunting down and bringing to justice the true monsters of the world.
The world has always been filled with monsters, but at least those monsters were mostly human. But now you could share the subway or bus with a vampire. Maybe you're neighbors with a loud but well-meaning werewolf. The world of the supernatural keeps one on one's toes. Evil doesn't sleep, and crime never stops. Luckily, the world has the BAU, aka the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Made up of and filled with trained profilers who themselves are supernatural beings.
