Eleven years ago, Mia Dolan and Sebastian Wilder loved each other enough to let each other go.

She became the actress she always dreamed of being. He finally opened the jazz club he once sketched on a napkin. Somewhere along the way, Mia got married, became a mother, and built an entirely different life.

They got their happy endings.

Just not with each other.

Now Mia is back in Los Angeles to direct her first film, and among a stack of possible shooting locations is a familiar little jazz club with a name she hasn't allowed herself to think about in years.

She could turn the page.

She doesn't.

What begins as a painfully awkward reunion becomes late nights over music, old jokes that still make them laugh, arguments they apparently never finished having, and the uncomfortable discovery that eleven years haven't erased everything they thought they left behind.

But Mia has a marriage quietly falling apart, a daughter caught in the middle, and a life Sebastian was never part of. Sebastian has his own scars, his own mistakes, and a club he may be about to lose.

And this time, neither of them gets to hide inside the beautiful fantasy of what could have been.
