At first I didn't know him, I don't think even noticed him when we'd first met. But things change.
I think the reason I came to love him was the fact that he was always there, always around, so much so that I came to learn things about him that he thought he could hide or didn't even know himself. He unconsciously told me everything. I think the reason I came to love him was the fact that I knew him. I came to know the little things he did, like how he would fidget when he was anxious or the songs he would listen to when he was frustrated. I mean, I knew him. Possibly better than I knew myself.
Then suddenly, somehow, like the pair of strangers we'd begun as, I knew nothing again.
Things change.
