Some families leave behind memories...Dorothy left behind secrets. When twins Denay and Dylan are sent to clean out their late grandmother Dorothy's old house, they expect to find nothing more than dusty furniture, forgotten photographs, and things nobody bothered to throw away.

Instead, Denay discovers an old journal-with a key hidden inside.
Dylan finds two larger journals, an unfamiliar map, and a photograph of Dorothy standing with a mysterious group of people from years ago. Suddenly, the house isn't just an old family home.

It's a doorway into a story their family never told them. As Denay, Dylan, and their friends begin piecing together Dorothy's past, they realize the secrets surrounding the compound may be connected to them in ways they never expected. And while they're searching for answers, their own lives are becoming just as complicated.

Love, friendships, jealousy, heartbreak, family secrets, and feelings nobody knows how to admit begin colliding.

Denay and Q are trying to figure out what it means to love each other. Able and Angel are learning that love doesn't always make things simple. Harmony is hiding feelings for Dylan that she isn't ready to confess.
Oliver can't seem to stop thinking about Za'raya.

And somewhere between the relationships falling apart and the friendships being tested, the group starts uncovering pieces of Dorothy's story.
