The Avery Chronicles: Volume 1

It had been a little over six months since it all went dark. Six months for some virus to swep across the globe at break neck speed causing the dead to vastly outnumber the living.

Avery had been wondering the wastelands of London on her own surviving just fine, when an unexpected encounter forced her to reevaluate Rule number 1: Don't engage with survivors if you don't have to.

Liam, who'd been somewhat surviving with friends, had suddenly found himself ousted from the group. Luckily for him, he had just met a capable stranger. If only he could convince her that two was better than one, though he would soon discover that she truly didn't need help from anyone in this zom-pocalylitic world for reasons she had hoped to keep secret.

Whether it was his incessant pestering or some other mysterious reason, Avery eventually agreed not only to take him in but to accompany him all the way home to Dublin once Spring had sprung.

During their time together, this unlikely duo will eventually form a strong friendship in spite of Averys many mysteries and somewhat barbed wire like personality to Liams jokey chatterbox ways. He continually tries to get her to open up on their journey, but if their friendship is to last, some secrets needed to stay buried.

This story is a very rough draft first. I tried my hand at doing the story in script format then decided afterwords it should be a novel instead which i am now converting it into! Hence it being a very rough first draft.

I switch MC perspectives within chapters, so If you are reading and suddenly see 🙋🏻‍♀️, the following is written from Avery's perspective. If you see him 🙋🏼‍♂️ it means it's narrated in Liams.
