The Originals ended, but the story never felt finished. And when Legacies began, the next generation of Mystic Falls and New Orleans never became the story I imagined it could have been.

The Original Legacies is my reimagining of what could have come next.

Hope Mikaelson has spent her life surrounded by the family her parents fought to give her, but being the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall comes with a price. Witch. Werewolf. Future vampire. The world's first Tribrid. Hope was never supposed to be possible, and buried within supernatural history is the reason nature allowed her to exist.

Beside her are Lizzie and Josie Saltzman, Hope's childhood best friends and the last twins of the Gemini Coven. They're siphoners, daughters of Caroline Forbes and Jo Laughlin, and heirs to a legacy their parents have desperately tried to protect them from. What they don't know is that a clock has been ticking since they were born: the Merge.

At the Salvatore School, the girls are supposed to learn control. Instead, they're questioning the rules they inherited. Hope practices magic the school considers forbidden. Lizzie struggles with jealousy and expectations. Josie's quiet nature hides a dangerous side of her own. Their friendship is fierce, messy, complicated, and loyal, even as growing up changes what they mean to one another.

Beyond the school's protected borders, people are hunting Hope. Ancient secrets are resurfacing. Death itself isn't working as it should. And the mistakes of their parents' generation are becoming theirs to survive.

They'll love, fight, betray, forgive, and make choices they can't take back.
